Who am I?
I was born and raised in Houston, TX. Currently a senior at Duke University, I’m studying a self-designed major that integrates UX design and disability studies called Digital Platform Design: Accessible User Experience. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the guitar, making short films, and binging TV shows.
My Design Approach
Accessible
When designing digital media, my top priority is to make the product as accessible as possible. I believe that all people should be able to effectively and enjoyably interact with digital platforms, regardless of disability status. Accessibility is the first thing I consider when designing a product and is integral to my design process. For me, accessibility is not an after thought, it’s a driving principal.
Clean
I often gravitate towards simple and clear designs. A clean design allows for the message and purpose of the design to shine. I often opt to create a clean design with minimal aesthetic flares instead of creating busy designs that do little to support the content. I design to support functional purposes, not disguise or overshadow them.
Timeless
I try not to follow design trends when working on projects because they can date the project and require the designs to be frequently updated. Instead, I try to use classic design principles to create fresh and timeless designs.
